BOARD MEETING RECAP

  • Board Approves 2025–26 Student Code of Conduct: The Board adopted the 2025-26 Student Code of Conduct which outlines behavioral expectations, disciplinary procedures, and legal compliance requirements for all students.
  • Student Device Policy Updated in Compliance with State Law: In response to newly passed legislation, HB 1481, the Board approved an update to student device expectations. Under the new state law, personal communication devices may not be used during the school day on school property—including during class transitions and lunch. The updated policy, FNCE(local), will go into effect for the 2025–26 school year. Parent communication and FAQs are available online.
  • MEF Shares Annual Report: The Midway Education Foundation presented its annual report, celebrating the generosity of donors and sponsors who helped fund innovative classroom grants, student enrichment, and teacher support to the tune of $473,853. The Board expressed appreciation for the Foundation’s role in elevating education and expanding opportunities for students and staff across the district.
