Special Populations Teachers
Our special populations staff and students are more than a team -- they become a family! Students who need extra support depend on paraprofessionals for physical, emotional, social, or educational assistance during the school day.
Special Populations Services
Midway ISD’s SPED Related Services team supports students through specialized services such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, and evaluation. Our professionals work with campuses and families to assess needs, remove barriers to learning, and ensure students can fully access their education.
Instructional Support
Instructional paraprofessionals, such as classroom aides and library aides, are important educator partners. MISD offers a Grow Our Own program to help instructional aides finish their Texas teacher certification.
Campus Support
Office staff and secretaries don’t just get things done, they make things happen! As the backbone of campus logistics, paraprofessionals are the first faces and voices students and visitors see on a daily basis.
Transportation
Our bus drivers are vitally important to our schools. Bus drivers are the first smiling face our students see each morning and provide dependable safe routes to school. We can't teach students if they can't get to school! Starting at $26.00 per hour.
Custodial
Join our custodial team today! You'll work alongside a team of dedicated professionals who take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. You'll also have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with students and staff, contributing to a positive and supportive school culture.
Maintenance
Do you enjoy working with your hands and solving problems? Join our maintenance team and help ensure that our schools are safe, and well-maintained. Whether you're repairing a leaky faucet, troubleshooting electrical issues, or performing routine inspections, your work will play a critical role in supporting the education of our future leaders.

Retirement Savings
With the hurried pace of our everyday lives, it is difficult sometimes to slow down and plan for the future. Although retirement may seem far away, actions you take today can make a big difference when you reach retirement.
Midway ISD offers retirement programs to its employees through the use of 403(b) tax deferred annuities and 457 deferred compensation and the Teachers Retirement System (TRS). These plans allow employees to save designated amounts out of their paychecks before tax and place them into a variety of mutual funds, variable annuities and fixed annuities. Any earnings grow tax deferred until withdrawn and are intended to supplement your TRS Pension Plan.

Nestled along the banks of the Brazos River in Waco, Texas, Baylor provides many educational and research opportunities across various disciplines.
A Minute in Midway - Destination Imagination & Kayaking
GT Teachers Jennifer Wyble and Jennifer Stanley lead imaginative Destination Imagination teams. Outside of the classroom, "the Jennifers" explore Lake Waco, the Brazos River and Bosque River via kayaks.
A Minute in Midway - Tennis & Glass Blowing
Midway Middle School Teacher Bob Rynearson teaches art and is an assistant coach in a dominant tennis program. Outside of the classroom, Mr. Rynearson is a talented master glassblower.
A Minute in Midway - Robotics & Mountain Biking
Midway High School Teacher Brady Gibson established the Project Lead the Way program with robotics and engineering successes at the state level and beyond. Outside of the classroom, Mr. Gibson is an avid cycler and helped establish a mountain biking competition.
