Midway ISD is more than a great place to work — it’s where exceptional educators build exceptional futures. Serving more than 8,700 students in one of Texas’ most supportive communities, Midway combines strong leadership, financial stability, and a culture of excellence that sets the standard across the state.
We invest in our teachers — and the results show. Nearly half of our teachers qualify for the Teacher Incentive Allotment, generating approximately $2 million annually in additional performance-based pay. With strong instructional coaching, a responsive Teaching & Learning department, and high-quality in-house professional development, many teachers qualify for TIA within their first three years in Midway. Our educators benefit from:
• Competitive salaries with stipends for high-need areas and advanced degrees
• Planning and PLC periods at the secondary level
• A Teacher Leader Academy that supports career growth without leaving the classroom
• Dedicated behavior coaches and counselor support for staff
• Intern support through our Baylor PDS partnership
• Support for National Board Certification
• Top-tier facilities and 1:1 technology
• A staff-sensitive instructional calendar
• A stable, campus-focused Board of Trustees
At Midway, innovation is encouraged, teacher voice is valued, and leadership is often promoted from within. If you’re looking for a district that values professionalism, supports growth, and expects the best — you belong here.
