At Midway High School, a group of ambitious students have taken education to new heights — literally. Through the district’s innovative Tango Flight program, students are building an actual airplane from the ground up.

The Midway ISD Education Foundation is proud to announce it has earned the 2024 Platinum Seal of Transparency from Candid, the highest level of recognition for transparency in nonprofit governance, financial management, and performance.

The Midway Education Foundation, along with several community partners, proudly presented a donation of $133,000 to support the Tango Flight plane building program for Midway High School students starting in the 2024-2025 school year onwards.

Each year, Midway ISD honors exceptional volunteers as Friends of Midway to recognize their extraordinary dedication and support of Midway schools, students, and staff. 

Midway Education Foundation Executive Director Ashley Futris presented the Foundation's annual impact during the July school board meeting.
