Midway High School Career and Technical Education student Kalissa Davis advanced to compete at the FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America) National Leadership Conference in July, placing among the top 15 students in the nation in the Fashion Construction category. 

Midway High School journalism students were awarded for their photography and writing at the state and national levels this year.

The Business Professionals of America (BPA) National Leadership Conference was a success for Midway High School with eight students advancing to compete in business and information technology skills events at the national level.

Two Midway High School students showcased their culinary talents on the statewide stage in Aramark's 2024 Culinary Star Competition held at Minute Maid Park in Houston. 

The Midway Education Foundation, along with several community partners, proudly presented a donation of $133,000 to support the Tango Flight plane building program for Midway High School students starting in the 2024-2025 school year onwards.

Several Midway High School Career and Technical Education students have achieved top honors in national cybersecurity programs, earning recognition as National Cyber Scholars and Cyberpatriot National Semifinalists.

Midway High School sophomore Stephanie Starks won first place in the 2023 Congressional App Challenge in Texas’ 17th Congressional District for the app she created called “Pollinator Party.”
