Midway ISD music programs have once again been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education Award, earning national recognition for 16 consecutive years.
Seven students from Midway High School have been selected as members of the 2024 Texas All-State Choir, placing them among the top 2.6% out of over 70,000 students who auditioned statewide.
On Tuesday May 16, the Midway High School Choir Booster Club hosted their annual awards banquet and awarded $4,000 in scholarships to seven outstanding seniors.
On Wednesday April 26, seven ensembles from the Midway High School Choir Department showcased their talent at the Region 8 North Zone UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Evaluation. A total of seven ensembles participated in the competition and earned top scores for their exceptional performances.
Midway and River Valley Middle School choir, orchestra, and band earned an impressive array of awards at recent UIL Concert and Sight-Reading competitions this spring, with 11 out of the 14 music groups who competed across both campuses earning sweepstakes awards, which is the highest honor available.
The Midway High School Choir program is celebrating the incredible achievement of its singers who have been selected for the prestigious Texas All-State Choir. After completing the rigorous audition process earlier this month, eight MHS Choir students were chosen to receive All-State honors from a pool of over 70,000 applicants.
On Saturday Sept. 24, Midway High School Choir students traveled to Belton High School for the Texas Music Educators Association Region 8 Choir Auditions.
