In 2025, Midway students earned passing scores of 3 or higher on more than 75% of all AP exams, with 20% of all exams earning a perfect score of 5—the highest mark possible. That adds up to 327 perfect scores across subjects, including Computer Science Principles, Drawing, Physics 2, and Spanish Language and Culture, which all saw 100% pass rates.

Midway students also excelled in Precalculus, with a 99.4% pass rate, and consistently strong performance was recorded across five years in Computer Science, Art & Design, and World Languages.

This excellence is paired with a steady increase in academic rigor. Students took a record 1,629 AP exams in 2025, marking a 40% increase since 2021. Midway students are taking on more AP courses and excelling at the highest levels.

“Midway students aren’t just taking on more challenges—they’re mastering them,” said Superintendent Dr. Chris Allen. “Our AP success is a reflection of our commitment to academic excellence, outstanding teaching, and a school culture that supports high achievement.”

Midway ISD offers more than 20 AP courses and continues to expand opportunities for advanced academics.
