Midway ISD Honors Outstanding Educators with 2025 District Teacher of the Year Awards

Midway Independent School District proudly recognized three exceptional educators with its 2025 District Teachers of the Year awards, celebrating their outstanding dedication, innovation, and commitment to student success.

The prestigious recognitions were awarded to Carson Sims as Rookie of the Year, Pamela Blair as District Elementary Teacher of the Year, and Megan Brown as District Secondary Teacher of the Year. Each honoree was selected for their exceptional ability to inspire students, foster growth, and contribute meaningfully to the school community.

Pamela Blair, a fifth-grade reading language arts and social studies teacher at Woodway Elementary, earned the title of District Elementary Teacher of the Year for her engaging instruction and student-centered approach.

Megan Brown, who teaches Algebra I at Midway High School, was honored as District Secondary Teacher of the Year for her excellence in making math accessible and meaningful to all learners.

Carson Sims, a first-grade teacher at Hewitt Elementary, was named Rookie of the Year for her fresh energy and impact in the classroom during her first year of teaching.

“Celebrating our Teachers of the Year is a testament to the dedication and passion that define Midway ISD,” said Superintendent Dr. Chris Allen. “These educators inspire greatness in every student, and their unwavering commitment elevates our entire community. We are so incredibly proud and blessed to have such amazing teachers here at Midway ISD.”

The awards highlight Midway ISD’s ongoing commitment to recognizing the hard work and excellence of its educators. Each recipient exemplifies the district’s mission to maintain the highest standards in academics, fine arts, and extracurricular activities.
