Students from Midway High School’s Business Professionals of America (BPA) chapter excelled at this year’s state and national competitions, bringing home national champion titles in multiple events.
Three students from Midway High School’s HOSA-Future Health Professionals chapter were awarded at the state competition in March and qualified to compete at the HOSA International Leadership Conference this summer.

Midway High School senior Shiroz Kazani is being honored as the Youth Citizen of the Year by the Rotary Club of Waco for embodying their motto “Service Above Self.” Twenty-two students from area high schools were nominated for the award, and Shiroz earned the top honor along with a $4,000 scholarship.
On Wednesday April 26, seven ensembles from the Midway High School Choir Department showcased their talent at the Region 8 North Zone UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Evaluation. A total of seven ensembles participated in the competition and earned top scores for their exceptional performances.
