At the 6A State Swim Meet held in Austin, Texas, Carson swam yet another personal best, breaking his own record and finishing 17th overall in the event.

At the state championship, Carson also shone in the 200-yard individual medley where he swam another personal best and once again broke his own school record, finishing 20th overall.

In addition to his individual achievements, Carson anchored the 200-yard freestyle relay team, helping to break yet another school record at the regional championships.
