Midway ISD Names Nicole Fanning Principal of Park Hill Elementary

Midway ISD has named Nicole Fanning as the new principal of Park Hill Elementary School.

Fanning brings nearly two decades of experience in education and a strong connection to the campus, currently serving as assistant principal at Park Hill Elementary. Her familiarity with the school community and commitment to student success position her well to step into this leadership role.

Fanning began her career in education in 2007 and has served in a variety of roles, including as an elementary teacher and instructional coach. She has also supported the development of future educators as a clinical instructor for Baylor University interns and teaching associates for more than a decade.

She holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Lamar University and a Texas Principal Certificate.

“Nicole is a dedicated educator who understands the importance of building strong relationships with students, staff, and families,” said Superintendent Dr. Clint Allen. “Her experience, leadership, and commitment to excellence make her a great fit to lead Park Hill Elementary.”

Fanning said she is honored to continue serving the Park Hill community in this new role.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to lead a campus that means so much to me,” Fanning said. “Park Hill is a special place, and I look forward to continuing to support our students, staff, and families as we build on the strong foundation already in place.”

Joining her is Dr. Shanna Attai, who has been named assistant principal. Dr. Attai joined Midway ISD as an elementary teacher in 2020 and currently serves as assistant principal at Speegleville Elementary. She brings a strong background in instructional leadership, student engagement, and supporting both students and staff. Dr. Attai holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, both from Baylor University.

Both Fanning and Dr. Attai will assume their new roles for the upcoming school year.
