Midway ISD Names Kristie Ingram Principal of Spring Valley Elementary

Midway ISD has named Kristie Ingram as the next principal of Spring Valley Elementary, bringing more than a decade of campus leadership experience and a familiar connection to the Midway community back to the district.

Ingram currently serves as principal of Bell’s Hill Elementary in Waco ISD, where she has led campus instructional initiatives, supported Teacher Incentive Allotment implementation and helped the campus to redesignate as an Apple Distinguished School. In addition, she supports the campus as a Baylor Professional Development School.

Prior to her current role, Ingram served as assistant principal at River Valley Middle School in Midway ISD, where she worked closely with students, staff, and families while helping develop campus intervention systems, incentive programs, and instructional supports.

Superintendent Dr. Chris Allen said Ingram’s combination of leadership experience, instructional knowledge, and previous service in Midway made her a strong fit for the Spring Valley Elementary position.

“Mrs. Ingram is a relationship-driven leader who understands how to build strong campus culture while maintaining a clear focus on student success,” Dr. Allen said. “We are excited to welcome her back to Midway ISD and look forward to the leadership and experience she will bring to Spring Valley Elementary.”

Ingram’s career in education includes leadership roles in Waco ISD, Belton ISD, and Granbury ISD, where she served as a principal, assistant principal, instructional specialist, department chair, and classroom teacher.

She holds a Bachelor's degree from Abilene Christian University and received her Master of Education in Administration from Lamar University. She has been recognized throughout her career for instructional leadership and campus impact, including receiving the Tarleton State University Instructional Leadership Award, the Jack Harvey Fellowship Award and Granbury ISD Secondary Teacher of the Year honors.

Ingram said returning to Midway ISD is especially meaningful because of the relationships and experiences she previously built within the district. Her son, Trenton Ingram, is a Midway Class of 2025 graduate, and her daughter, Bailey, is a current Midway High student.

“I am incredibly honored and excited for the opportunity to return to Midway ISD and serve the Spring Valley Elementary community,” Ingram said. “Midway has always held a special place in my heart, and I look forward to partnering with students, staff, and families to continue the strong traditions and culture that make Spring Valley such a special place.”

Ingram will begin transitioning into the role this summer in preparation for the 2026-27 school year. A Principal Meet and Greet will be held May 28 from 6 to 7 p.m. at SVE. Parents, families, students and staff are encouraged to attend.
