During the January meeting of the Midway ISD Board of Trustees, staff were honored for their exceptional achievements and meaningful contributions that have positively impacted the district and its community.

National Board Certified Teachers
Midway ISD is proud to recognize four newly certified National Board Certified Teachers (NBCTs): Angela Brown (HE), Christy Baish (PHE), Josh Dietert (MHS), and Sharon Cramer (PHE). With these new certifications, Midway ISD now has 20 NBCTs districtwide. National Board Certification is the profession’s highest voluntary credential, recognizing educators who meet rigorous standards through a comprehensive, performance-based assessment process.
Texas School Board Recognition Month
January is Texas School Board Appreciation Month, a time to recognize the dedicated service of local school board members across the state. Midway ISD is grateful for the seven elected trustees who volunteer countless hours to support student success, staff excellence, and strong district governance. Collectively, the Midway ISD Board of Trustees brings decades of leadership experience and a deep personal connection to our schools as parents and alumni. We sincerely thank them for their commitment to public education and to the Midway community.

- Susan Vick, President, Place 2
Ms. Vick joined the Board in 2011 and is the mother of four Midway alumni. - Pam Watts, Vice President, Place 5
Mrs. Watts joined the Board in 2016 and has four Midway graduates who attended Midway schools from kindergarten through graduation. - Colin Witt, Board Secretary, Place 3
Mr. Witt joined the Board in 2021. He has two Midway graduates and one currently enrolled Midway student. - Jordan Barry, Place 1
Mr. Barry joined the Board in 2025. His wife is a Midway ISD employee, and they have three children currently attending Midway schools. - Brad Alford, Place 4
Mr. Alford joined the Board in 2018 and has four Midway graduates. - Jonathan Green, Place 6
A Midway High School Class of 2000 graduate, Mr. Green joined the Board in 2022 and has three children currently attending Midway schools. - Rick Tullis, Place 7
Mr. Tullis joined the Board in 2013. He has four children—three Midway alumni and one current Midway High School student.
