April Board Briefs: Recognitions

During the April meeting of the Midway ISD Board of Trustees, students and staff were honored for their exceptional achievements and meaningful contributions that have positively impacted the district and its community.

Recognitions included:

Robotics State Qualifiers

Midway High School’s Robotics Team 4707, under the leadership of Coach Ben Kosarek, has advanced to the state competition held March 6–7. This achievement reflects the team’s innovation, technical skill, and strong collaboration in competitive robotics. Midway ISD congratulates the following students:

Tractor Tech State Qualifiers

Midway ISD students in the Tractor Tech program have demonstrated excellence in Career and Technical Education by advancing to the state competition. These students have developed hands-on skills and industry knowledge that prepare them for future success.

Principal Announcement – Park Hill Elementary

Midway ISD is pleased to announce that Nicole Fanning has been named Principal of Park Hill Elementary. Mrs. Fanning brings a strong commitment to student success, staff support, and campus leadership. Her experience and dedication will continue to strengthen the Park Hill community and support the district’s mission of excellence.

Board Member Recognition - Rick Tullis

Midway ISD recognizes Board Trustee Rick Tullis for his dedicated service to the students, staff, and community of Midway. Mr. Tullis is stepping down from the Board of Trustees after winning the primary election for McLennan County Judge.

During his 13 years on the board, Mr. Tullis provided thoughtful leadership and a strong commitment to public education, helping guide the district through important decisions and continued growth.

Midway ISD extends its sincere appreciation for his service and congratulates him on this new role of leadership and service to the broader community.
