Midway ISD Board of Trustees Vacancy Application
The Midway ISD Board of Trustees is seeking applicants to fill an open seat to be vacated by Trustee Rick Tullis who won the seat for McLennan County Judge in this year’s primary elections. The appointed trustee will serve until May 2028, when the position will be up for election.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the legal qualifications to serve as a Texas school board member. These requirements can be found on the Midway ISD Board of Trustees page.
Time Commitment
Board members are expected to attend all regular and special meetings. Regular meetings are typically held at 7 p.m. at 13885 Woodway Drive, Woodway, TX 76712 on the third Tuesday of each month:

Application Process
Interested individuals should complete the online application form and respond to the questions (maximum 500 words per response). Applicants must also upload a Personal or Professional Bio or Resume* summarizing their experience, community involvement, and skills that would contribute to serving on the Board.
*Applicants are not required to have formal work experience to apply.
Applications are due by Wednesday, April 15, 2026.
After reviewing submissions, the Board will schedule interviews with selected candidates. Interviews will be held the evening of April 23, 2026. Interviewees may be asked to provide up to three letters of reference, to be sent to superintendent@midwayisd.org.
Additional Information
If interested in serving beyond the appointment term, applicants must file to run for election in the May 2028 General Election.
