Rising Star Award

Sharron McKethan Zachry was born a star, a natural leader who always sought to bring out the best in those around her--her children, her friends, her co-workers and her students. As a Midway ISD employee, she was a loved administrator who recruited and mentored superb staff. She especially scouted for young, fresh talent-rookies-to introduce into the world of education where she flourished and where she became much beloved and respected. To honor Sharron's extraordinary legacy, Linda and Joe McKethan along with mother Gloria and his family they established the Midway Rising Star Award.

The Sharron McKethan Zachry family recognizes a MHS graduate who has recently returned to MISD to serve and is doing an outstanding job!
