Academic Letter Jackets
Since 2002, the Midway ISD Education Foundation has supported the Letter Jacket for Academics program. This program recognizes seniors who have earned a 97.0 or higher cumulative GPA for at least six semesters. Students who meet the eligibility requirement, and have not yet earned a jacket through any other organization or sport by their senior year, will qualify for an academic letter jacket. The qualifying students who have already received a letter jacket through another organization will receive an All-Academic patch to signify their accomplishment.
Special Olympic Letter Jackets
The Midway ISD Education Foundation is proud to support our Special Olympics student-athletes through our Letter Jacket Recognition Program.
Each year, we partner with Midway Special Olympics to award letter jackets to Midway High School students who have participated in Special Olympics for two full years. Recipients are typically juniors, and occasionally seniors, who have demonstrated dedication, perseverance, and Panther pride through consistent involvement and team commitment.
Just like our academic and athletic letter programs, this recognition honors sustained effort and meaningful contribution. Participation in Special Olympics requires discipline, teamwork, resilience, and heart, qualities that reflect the very best of Midway.
We are honored to celebrate these student-athletes and to ensure their hard work is recognized in the same meaningful way as their peers.
