Academic Letter Jackets

Since 2002, the Midway ISD Education Foundation has supported the academic letter jacket and patch program. Students who earn a 97 average or higher for 3 semesters they qualify for an All-Academic patch. Seniors who have earned a 97 average or higher for at least 5 semesters, and have not earned a jacket through any other organization or sport by their Senior year, will qualify for a Letter Jacket for Academics. The qualifying student receives an academic patch the first year the honor is earned and a year bar for subsequent years of achievement.  After attaining this goal for five consecutive semesters, the student can earn a letter jacket if they aren’t a member of an organization that offers the opportunity to earn letter jackets. If they already have a letter jacket or are eligible to earn one through another organization, then they will receive another academic patch or year bar to add to their jacket.

Special Olympic Letter Jackets

It is the Education Foundation's pleasure to help fund letter jackets for students that have participated in Special Olympics for two consecutive years at Midway High School, participate in all sports offered (even as team manager) and are a junior or senior at Midway High School.
