ranking Midway ISD is the 30th best district for teacher support in Texas! Texas school districts were assessed on several factors which represent how well a school district supports their teachers. Some criteria included: class size, administrator and support staff availability, and student proficiency levels.
Midway ISD is among just 65 school districts in Texas to receive the highest transparency award, the Platinum Leadership Circle designation, from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts. The Leadership Circle Program honors local governments that open their books to the public, provide clear and consistent pictures of spending and share information in a user-friendly format. Midway ISD earned the award for posting budgets, financial reports and check registers online, as well as detailed summary information about bonded debt and repayment.
honor roll

The Honor Roll is part of a national effort by the Educational Results Partnership (ERP) and the Institute for Educational Productivity (IPE) to identify higher-performing schools list and highlight successful practices that improve outcomes for students. Schools receiving this distinction have demonstrated consistent high levels of student academic achievement, improvement in achievement levels over time and reduction in achievement gaps among student populations. For districts with high schools, the Honor Roll recognition also includes measures of college readiness.

The NAMM Foundation has recognized Midway ISD among just 388 districts in the United State for outstanding commitment to music education with a Best Communities for Music Education designation. The Best Communities for Music Education survey acknowledges and celebrates schools and districts, their administrators, teachers, board members, parents and students across the United States for their commitment to and support of music education.
Voted locally, Midway schools swept the public school categories in 2015. Midway High School has won its category for the entire four-year history of the award's existence.
