About Us

Our program is a leadership laboratory; in other words, students are given opportunities to practice the leadership skills they are taught in class by assuming leadership roles amongst their classmates at various times throughout the year.  Students will participate in physical training, close order drill (marching), uniform inspections, and academic instruction during school hours.

Students may volunteer to participate in any of several extracurricular competitive teams, including the color guard, drill, marksmanship, academic, and ‘cyber patriot’ teams, provided they are willing to commit the time and effort, which will require attendance at after-school practices.  These cadets are eligible to work towards lettering in MCJROTC.

While MCJROTC can provide an excellent launching pad for a future career in the military, cadets' participation in the program incurs no commitment to military service.  Most former cadets leverage their MCJROTC training and experience to achieve success in the private sector.  Furthermore, please note that there is no cost to the family for required uniforms and equipment.
