District Rezoning for 2022
Visit the MISD Rezoning information site at www.midwayisd.org/rezoning.
The 2019 school bond package was approved by voters to include a new elementary campus and reconfigure the grade alignments to one high school (grades 9-12), two middle schools (grades 6-8), and eight elementary campuses (grades PK-5). This realignment will affect the attendance zones for all campuses from PreK to 8th grade.
The process for determining attendance zones that balance campus capacities, as well as how to make the transition to the new alignment, is a multi-year process culminating in Fall 2022.
Starting with an updated demographic study to analyze population maps, areas of student density, and housing construction, MISD will gather community input to create a list of common priorities to guide the formation of multiple scenarios. Public input will be requested at several stages in the process. Information, documents, and resources will be added to this page throughout the process.
