Important 2020-2021 Open Enrollment Information

2020-2021 Open Enrollment Information and Benefit Plan Changes

Below you will find tentative information regarding the following:

Open Enrollment:

  • Open Enrollment will begin 7/15 and run through 8/14.
  • We will have on-campus enrollers available 8/10 - 8/12. No appointment required. (The onsite campus schedule will be emailed out at a later date)
  • In addition to enrolling with an enroller on your campus you can:
    • Enroll yourself through the online portal - TBX
      • An email will go out with log on directions at a later date
      • There will be a webinar specific to MISD benefits available prior to open enrollment starting, which will review all benefit offerings. Date TBD
    • Schedule a benefits meeting with Kelcie Griggs, Benefits Specialist
      • I will accept meetings, via phone or in-person (if able) until 8/7
    • Call into the benefits call center to speak with an enroller and enroll over the phone.
      • There will be specific dates and times that this option is available.
      • The schedule and phone line information will be available at a later date

 

Medical Plan Offerings and Premium Changes:

 

For the 20-21 school year, Midway will increase the monthly district contribution to $386.

 

  • Attached to this email you will find a document containing a brief explanation of the new plan offerings. More information and details regarding the plans will be released as it is received.
    • The attached document DOES NOT reflect the MISD premium contribution.

Standard Dental Plan Premium Changes:

  • You can expect a slight increase in premium for both the High and Low dental plan options.
  • Exact premium costs will be available at a later date.

 

Lincoln Financial Voluntary Life Insurance Premium Changes:

 

  • You can expect a slight increase in premiums for voluntary life insurance.
  • Exact premium costs will be available at a later date.

 

MASA Emergency Services:

 

  • MASA will no longer offer the Ground Only benefits
  • MASA will only offer the Ground + Air option
  • If you are currently enrolled in the Ground Only option, you will be grandfathered in to that option, and allowed to keep it.
