College & Career Readiness
-
With the increasing complexity and demands of the 21st century workforce, the need to fully prepare students for life beyond high school is greater than ever before. Texas changed all graduation requirements to focus specifically on creating academic plans for high school students based on future career goals. Midway ISD College and Career Readiness efforts work to ensure that all students are exposed to potential career and college pathways beginning at the elementary level. We believe preparation for postsecondary work and education should combine a rigorous and relevant academic program with comprehensive career education. Through this combination, we hope to facilitate a seamless transition for our students to the postsecondary world. We are dedicated to supporting opportunities for career exploration, goal-setting, and preparation as well as a rigorous, relevant, and well-rounded personal academic program. Student futures are our focus; we build foundations together today!
