COVID-19 Protocols

Remote Conferencing information (gray bar section below) added 8-31-21

The health, safety, and well-being of our students and staff is always our top priority. Protocols are in place to support healthy learning environments while mitigating the spread of infectious diseases. We look forward to continuing with traditional, in-person learning for all students in the 2021-2022 school year. In order to “keep our doors open” as we did last school year, we need everyone to work together to control the spread of COVID-19. Please remain vigilant regarding symptoms.

MISD's Task Force groups (Health/Safety, Human Resources, Instructional Delivery, and Operations) have closely monitored COVID-related guidance from the Center for Disease Control, Texas Education Agency, Texas School Safety Center, University Scholastic League, and local health authorities in order to recommend the following COVID safety protocols to protect our students and staff.

Midway ISD will foster a culture to support all students. The local health department, the CDC and the American Academy of Pediatrics advise that everyone school age and older should wear a mask. We encourage families to heed this advice, and expect all to be respectful and understanding of an individual’s decision to wear or not wear a mask. In situations where a student is considered a close contact/direct exposure at school, please note that in order to opt out of quarantine, the student should wear a mask indoors for 10 days and monitor symptoms.
