1. How will my child celebrate his/her birthday at school?
Your child's birthday can be celebrated on the day of or close to the actual birthday (depending on weekends and holidays). Summer birthdays will be celebrated in May. Per district policy please make sure cookies or cupcakes are store-bought (I prefer individual cupcakes or cookies, not cakes or cookie cakes). These will be served at the end of the school day.
2. How does my child buy lunch?
Your child has a lunch account that money can be added to as needed. Click on the following link to view your child's account or add money to their account. https://www.mynutrikids.com/Login.aspx
Or, you can send money in an envelope to school.
PLEASE LABEL THE ENVELOPE WITH "LUNCH MONEY" AND YOUR CHILD'S NAME. If you are on free or reduced lunch you will need to send money for ice cream, as it is not included with the school lunch (ice cream is $.80).
3. When can my child be dropped off and picked up from school?
Drop off begins at 7:15 a.m. School starts at 8:00 a.m. (your child will be considered "tardy" if they arrive after that.
"Car pick up" is at 3:25 p.m.
4. What time is lunch?
Lunch is 12:15-12:45. You are welcome to eat with your child, except for the first 2 weeks of school and state testing days.
5. How can I get a hold of my child's teacher?
6. How do I know how my child is doing in school with behavior and grades?
Please check your child's take home folder every night for behavior. I will also send you an email or call you if I have a question or concern. Each week I will send home graded papers from the following week in a folder. You are to remove the papers, sign and return any papers with a stamp, sign the folder and return it to school the next day. We use Standards Based Reporting this year instead of traditional report card grading and these will be sent home at the end of each 6 weeks grading period. Progress reports will be sent home after the 3rd week in the 6 weeks. All progress reports and report cards should be signed and returned.
