• Aramark

Aramark has provided Midway students and staff with nutritious meals for decades and has  been a faithful partner in the education and care of our students. During the past 11 years,  Aramark has expanded this support to a partnership with Aramark’s Baylor Dining Services  to provide a full service meal for Midway ISD Education Foundation’s Showcase of Stars  academic banquet honorees each year. Aramark has provided meals to over 300 people  at this event annually. Aramark also provided financial support for the Education Foundation  for several years prior to underwriting the Showcase of Stars event. Aramark has coached  Midway secondary students in multiple cooking competitions and has initiated programs on  our campuses to encourage students to try new foods. But recently, Aramark truly displayed  fortitude and perseverance in reacting to the COVID-19 pandemic and the closure of  schools. Within days of being notified of school closures in March, Midway’s Aramark team  flew into action to pack up and distribute meals from multiple elementary campuses to  children and families all across our community, whether or not they attended Midway  schools. Working with our transportation department, this service was later expanded to  include multiple apartment complexes and remote locations within the district. From cold  days to very warm days, Aramark staff members have continued to ensure that all children  in our community receive the nourishment they need to thrive. Aramark has demonstrated  a deep commitment to the children and staff of Midway ISD through their support of the  Midway ISD Education Foundation and the school district.

Congratulations to our Friends of Midway corporate honorees

  • Each year, the district recognizes voluntary gifts of individuals and companies who are  steadfast in their commitment to our local community’s schools and improving education for  Midway students. Midway ISD is grateful for the dedicated, substantial donations of time,  expertise and funding provided by the 2020 Friends of Midway honorees. The Education Foundation is pleased to honor two of our district's corporate partners for their ongoing support. These corporations were honored at the September 15th Midway Board of Trustees meeting and were presented with a beautiful handcrafted bowl created by Robert Rynearson.

Two  officers of The First National Bank of Central Texas have served on the Midway ISD  Education Foundation Board of Directors. Link  Harris also served on the Midway Athletic Booster Club Board for 4 years, serving as  President for two of those years. FNBCT has also been the sponsor of the Greater Hewitt  Chamber of Commerce’s Student of the Year program to recognize outstanding students  from each campus. We are grateful for the faithful support that FNBCT has provided Midway  ISD and the Education Foundation.
