Dental & Vision Insurance
Taking care of your teeth is a big part of caring for the rest of your health. Dental insurance is a coverage that helps defray the costs of dental care. It insures against the expense of treatment and routine care, dental disease, and accidents to your teeth.
Your dental insurance is administered by the Standard Insurance Company through the Ameritas Dental Network. Employees and dependents have access to an extensive nationwide network of member dentists. The cost-saving benefits of visiting a network member dentist are automatically available to all employees and dependents who are covered by any of The Standard's dental plans and who live in areas where the nationwide network is available.
There are two categories of dental plans: High and Low.
The high coverage level has higher premiums but lower copayments and deductibles. So you'll pay more every month, but less when you use dental services.
The low coverage level has lower premiums but higher copayments and deductibles. So you’ll pay less every month, but more when you use dental services.
Proper vision care is essential to your overall wellbeing. Regular eye exams at any age will help prevent eye disease and keep your vision strong for years to come. Vision insurance is a type of health coverage to insure for services rendered by eye care professionals.
Your vision insurance is administered by Superior Vision Services. Superior Vision offers a wide network of providers, including Hewitt Optometric Center, Wal-Mart, Visionworks, LensCrafters, and more. The coverage includes eye examinations, prescription eyewear, and contact lenses as well as discounts on refractive surgery.
