    Employee Assistance Program

    Employee Assistance ProgramThe Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides you and your family with immediate and confidential support to help resolve work, health, and life challenges to improve your life.

    The EAP and WorkLife services are provided to you as an employer-sponsored benefit, there is no cost to you. If you accept a referral to services that are not a part of your EAP program, you may be responsible for the costs associated with those services.



    Employee Insurance

    Employee InsuranceMidway ISD offers a number of medical insurance plans as well as dental, vision and supplemental insurance plans. Benefits are available for all full time, permanent employees. As an employee of Midway ISD, you are eligible for benefits on the 1st day of the month following your start date. You have 30 days to elect your benefits from that date. If you do not elect benefits within this period, you will not be eligible to enroll in benefits until the following Open Enrollment Period or if you experience a qualifying event. Examples of qualifying events include birth, death, marriage, divorce, adoption, and loss of other coverage. Documentation must be provided for life events and all changes must be made within 30 days of the event.

    The benefit plan year begins on September 1 and ends August 31 of each year. Open Enrollment is held each year, usually during the month of July or August. All benefits elected during the annual Open Enrollment period are effective September 1.

    Employee WellnessThe vision of the Midway ISD Employee Wellness Program is to create a wellness culture that will empower employees to lead healthier and well-balanced lives. The mission is to improve employee health, well-being, and quality of life by providing health and wellness education, a diverse selection of wellness programs, and an atmosphere that is conducive to health improvements. The ultimate goal is for all employees to make strides towards a healthier tomorrow.

    Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA)

    The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) was created to help families through this time of the pandemic with paid leave. Leave benefits under this Act (FFCRA) apply for the limited time period of April 1, 2020, to December 31, 2020. The amount of paid leave an employee may receive will vary depending on the reason leave is taken. Please open and print the following form. While navigating through the questions, you will be determining what type of leave and what type of paid leave you will be eligible for.
