Employee Information for Panther Kids Afterschool Care & Camps

  • Panther Kids Has a Tiered Application Process:

    Employees’ Application window is from March 1-31 to guarantee a spot.  

    Other Priority Group Registration Begins on the following dates:
         April 1 - Current, Non-Employee Panther Kids families
         April 15 - Wait List families from current school year
         April 29 - Open Registration Begins





    STEP 1:               

    Apply for enrollment to Panther Kids After-School program between March 1-31  

    Go to www.midwayisd.org; Students & Families; Back to School Guide; Elementary School; After School Care; midwayisd.org/pantherkids. 


    2020-21 After-School Care:  There is an annual, non-refundable $25 family application fee that must be paid online when you register.  Employees can pay the monthly tuition of $80 per child through payroll deduction.  PRD saves you money since there are no processing fees (if you pay online, .75 for e-check & $2.50 for credit/debit cards, processing fees are going up in April); PRD allows the tuition to be deducted from your paycheck instead of being due on the 1st day of each month. Enroll between March 1-31 to ensure a spot for your child/children.   



    STEP 2:                    

    Confirm child’s spot in Panther Kids by completing one of the options below NOW or by JUNE 1.         

    • Complete & submit Payroll Deduction Form NOW, or no later than June 1 **, PRD effective SEPT.-MAY (Knock this out now, easiest, cheapest option.  NOTE that the form is due JUNE 1 to secure spot, but the PRD is effective September – May.) 


    • Set up online auto-pay for 2020-21 by May 26** 

    E-check monthly fee, $0.75; credit card monthly fee, $2.50 (processing fees are going up in April) 


    **Once you have received an email that your child has been enrolled into Panther Kids 2020-21you must confirm your childcare spot by submitting the PRD form, setting up auto-pay, or by making the first tuition payment no later than June 1 The first tuition payment covers August and September.  Then, your next payment would be due October 1 if you pay online or mid-October for PRD.  You have the option to sign up for auto-pay by May 26, which will automatically make your monthly payments on each due date, plus the processing fee.  After May 26, you must click “Pay Now” for the first tuition payment, then you can opt to set up auto-pay for subsequent payments to be automatically deducted on the 1st of each month plus the processing fee. 



    STEP 3:                    


    CAMP TUITION MUST BE PAID ONLINECamps may not be paid through PRD unless requested by employee and approved by program coordinator. 

    May 28, 2020 Half-Day Camp (deadline to apply, April 30camps must be paid online), $10/child* Pre-K- 6th grade if not currently enrolled in PK 2019-20; $0 if currently enrolled in our after-school care program.  *You must reserve space for your child by April 30.   

    May 29, 2020 Staff Development Camp (deadline to apply, April 30camps must be paid online), $25 for first child20% discount for siblings attending, Pre-K- 6th grade. *You must reserve space for your child by April 30.   

    August Staff Dev. Camp (deadline to apply, July 8camps must be paid online by Aug. 1, $25 family, non-refundable deposit)  Sibling discount of 20%.  


    1. Aug. 6-17 Staff Dev. Kids' Camp (Best Value), $160/child 
    1. Aug. 6 & 7 Staff Dev. Kids' Camp, $25/day/child 
    1. August 10-14 Staff Dev. Kids' Camp, $125/child 
    1. August 17 Kids' Camp, $25/child
