At least one primary applicant must have a grant writing certificate to show proof of attending an MEF grant writing workshop.
One classroom or teacher may apply for up to $1,500.
Two or more classrooms or teachers may apply for up to $5,000.
An entire campus or district may apply for a grant of more than $5,000 with prior campus principal approval. Only one submission per campus per round will be accepted for this larger grant opportunity.
Note: A professional development round of grants was announced in October 2020. MEF will not consider professional development requests for more than $1,000 until that round.
Apply for funding up to $1000 for classroom programs. Grant Express applications close at 11:59 PM on the last calendar day of the month (weekends included). Please allow 30 days from close of cycle to learn if your grant was approved.
COMING IN DEC. 2021: Staff will be able to submit a video instead of writing an application! Details below:
1. Creative & innovative programs for the classroom are our favorite, but we can also consider essential products that enhance student learning even if they aren't super creative.
2. Even if someone on your campus has the product, you can still apply to get it as well! Just make sure it's not possible (or feasible) for you to share the product we've already awarded.
3. At least one primary applicant must hold a grant training certificate from MEF. (We will confirm that when you submit your video, if that's your chosen method).
4. Email your video (or a link to it), a budget page, and any helpful links to email@example.com by 11:59 PM on 4/30/21 to be considered for this round.
