    Disclaimer: Midway ISD highly encourages a healthy lifestyle and environment for all students. It can be helpful for students with special needs to participate in physical exercise, interact socially and for parents to have a network of support. Therefore the following list of local organizations, activities and links is maintained as a helpful tool for parent research and information, but not as a specific recommendation from Midway ISD. The District does not investigate nor evaluate these organizations as activities.  
    Boy Scouts Troop #6008 (Troop Ability)
    • Who: middle and high school males with special needs
    • When: Every other Thursday

    Buddy Up Tennis
    • Who: students and young adults with special needs
    • When: Saturdays at 11 am- 12:30 pm

    OSO Musical!: Music Enrichment Classes by Baylor School of Music
    Fitness Infinitus Martial Arts
    • Who: school-age children with special needs
    • When: class times vary

    HOT Cheer & Dance Special Needs Cheer Team
    • Who: School-age children with special needs

    Challenger Little League
    • Who: School-age children with special needs
    • When: Tryouts generally in March; games on Tuesday or Thursday evenings depending on team schedules, and Saturday mornings, in April and May

    Arc of McLennan County After-School Care
    • School-age children with special needs attending school in Waco, Connally, or Midway ISD
    • When: Following school calendars
    • Where: 1300 Austin Ave. in Waco

    Arc of McLennan County Teen & Young Adult Social Group
    • Who: Teens and young adults with special needs

    Social Skills Groups by Baylor Autism Resource Center
    • Who: School-age children with autism spectrum disorder or other social skills deficits
    • When: Ongoing; at the start of each fall and spring semester; age groups are determined by interest of potential participants
