I graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture Science. After teaching for a few years, I continued my education at the University of Houston where I earned my Master's of Education in Counseling and later received my Principal's certification through the Region 12 Education Service Center in Waco. | |
This school year will be my 17th year in education. I began my teaching career at the high school in which I graduated, Katy High School. I taught in the Katy ISD for eight years before becoming a school counselor for three. Our family moved to Waco in 2007. For the last three years I worked as the Coordinator for Career & Technical Education for MISD. Last spring I began as Assistant Principal here at Woodgate! I am married to Jarrod Metzgar who works as a Vice President at the Extraco Events Center. We have two boys: Braedon (7th grade at MMS) and Bryson (3rd grade at SBE). Our family loves to spend time in the outdoors: hunting, fishing, sports, water & snow skiing! Additionally, I love to travel and read! | |
