TEEN READ WEEK OCT. 17-23, 2010
Vote for your favorites during Teen Read Week!
What is Teen Read Week?
Each year selected teen reviewers across the country nominate books for the American Library Association’s Teen’s Top Ten Best Book list. During the week of October 17-23, 2010 you can vote on your favorite books from the list of nominations. Also, each year a new theme is created to promote different types of literature. This year's theme is "Books with Beat @ your library®," which encourages teens to read poetry, audiobooks, books about music, and more.
How do I vote?
Reading and voting for Teen’s Top Ten is fun, free, and easy. You don’t even have to register your name. During the week of October 17-23, 2010, go to the MHS Library webpage and click on the Teen Read Week Link or go to www.ala.org/teenstopten/
Do I have to read every book on the list if I want to vote for my favorite books?
No! Read as many titles as you can so you can make informed decisions about your favorite books when you vote. Encourage your friends to join you in reading the nominated books and voting. The more teens who participate, the more accurately the winning list will reflect the reading tastes of teens all over the country.
