Welcome to the Midway ISD

Attendance Zone Information Page

On July 8, 2008, the Midway ISD Board of Trustees voted to create the Schools Attendance Zone Advisory Committee. The Committee was created to develop recommendations to be presented to the Board of Trustees regarding the re-organization of elementary and intermediate school attendance zones. Because the District will be opening Castleman Creek Elementary in August 2009, we need to shift our existing five elementary attendance zones to six zones. In addition, because we will be opening our second intermediate school in August 2010, we also need to create two intermediate school attendance zones. The advisory committee addressed both tasks in the fall of 2008.

A public hearing was held on October 7, 2008 where members of the community provided feedback to the committee.  An email address was also provided through this website for additional feedback.  The committee met on October 14, 2008 to consider all of the feedback that had been received.  An elementary map and an intermediate map recommendation were presented to the Board on October 21 for review.  On November 18, 2008 the Board met again and approved the maps listed below.
